A common mistake was made when translating one of the words, due to which players may not understand some plot scenes.

Several studios decided to make a Russian voice-over for the sensational Dispatch. The head of one of them — NikiStudio — recently drew attention to an inaccuracy in the translation. This error made its way into the official Russian localization of the game.

He drew the community's attention to the "treacherous word Unanimous." According to the localizer, many translate it as "anonymously," but this is a mistake — in fact, it translates as "unanimously."

He said that he found the same error in the official Russian translation of the 7th episode of Dispatch. The localizer himself admitted that in the past he had made such a mistake with the translation of the word Unanimous, but then he translated the movie trailer "by ear":

In my defense, I will say that I did it by ear, and there were no neural networks then. It sounds similar. However, I found the same error in the official Russian translation of episode 7 of Dispatch. And here the game was not translated by ear after all. This suggests that the case is quite complex, and the error is common.

The phrase "We voted. It was nearly unanimous" in Dispatch was translated as "We voted. Almost anonymously." The localizer explained that this error is difficult to see because it is activated only in the branch where a certain character remains on the team. He himself noticed the word "unanimous" during recording, as in his playthrough he went down a different story branch. This error will be corrected in the NikiStudio voice-over:

"[...] not so long ago we were writing episode 7, and suddenly I saw the familiar "unanimous," translated as "anonymously." I double-checked and it turned out that it was not my translator [who made a mistake], but the error crept into the original translation. Nevertheless, it is very important to correct this error, because then it becomes clear why [some characters] fought. Which we will do in our Russian voice-over.
