Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed May Come to Smartphones - HandyGames Hints at Announcement
The remake of Warren Spector's platformer might soon be available on mobile devices.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a remake of Warren Spector's platformer, may get iOS and Android versions. The preparation of a mobile port was hinted at by HandyGames technical support after a fan sent the company their own concept for the game's Google Play page.
In response to the user, the publisher's representatives thanked them for the detailed proposal and advised them to follow official news:
"Hello. Thank you for the kind and detailed feedback – and for making us think we accidentally already released the game. An announcement will follow soon, so stay tuned."
HandyGames is part of THQ Nordic and specializes in porting PC and console games to mobile devices. The company has already released two projects from Purple Lamp studio on iOS and Android – SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, and has also worked on other mobile ports of THQ Nordic games.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake of the 2010 Epic Mickey, created by Junction Point Studios under the direction of Deus Ex author Warren Spector. According to the plot, Mickey Mouse finds himself in the Wasteland – a world of forgotten Disney characters, ruled by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The hero's magical brush allows him to restore the environment with paint and erase it with thinner. The player's decisions affect the completion of quests and the attitude of the Wasteland's inhabitants.
Currently, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be released on October 6, 2026.
