On July 19, the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup took place, and for some, its outcome was obvious long before the match started. The fact is that the developers of the sports simulator EA Sports FC 26 traditionally predicted the winner of the event.

A few weeks ago, they conducted a simulation in their project: virtual footballers played against each other. Electronic Arts did not disclose the details of this simulation, only stating: the Spanish national team would win.

And so it happened: in the final, Spain faced Argentina and won with a score of 1-0. This is already the fifth correct prediction in a row.

The EA Sports FC 26 developers addressed the community:

This match is also notable because on July 19, 19-year-old player Lamine Yamal, wearing number 19, scored a goal. Lionel Messi played against him for Argentina — in 2007, he bathed little Yamal, and then a legendary photo was taken.
