Activision has set the beta date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

Activision has revealed the beta testing schedule for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. According to a new post on the official blog, early access participants will be the first to try out the shooter on August 21, immediately after the Call of Duty NEXT presentation.

The Call of Duty NEXT event will take place on August 21. Developers will showcase gameplay, provide detailed information about the multiplayer mode, and present other features of the new installment in the series. The first phase of beta testing will begin immediately after the broadcast concludes.

Early access to the beta will run from August 21 to August 25 and will only be available to players who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC.

The second phase will be open to everyone. The open beta will run from August 28 to September 1, 2026, and will be available on all announced platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, regardless of pre-order status.

During the test, players will be able to experience several multiplayer maps and modes, try out new operators, and an arsenal of 19 weapon types. The beta will feature dynamic 3v3 matches, large-scale tactical battles with tanks, as well as both new and familiar modes, including Search & Destroy, Kill Block, and Training Mobility Course.
