The studio operated for 18 years.

Midgar Studio, known for Edge of Eternity and the recently released Edge of Memories, has announced the cessation of its operations.

The studio's closure was announced by its founder, Jérémy Zeller-Mory, in a LinkedIn post. According to him, the parent company Nacon had been trying to find a buyer for Midgar Studio for some time, but failed to complete the deal within the allotted timeframe.

Zeller-Mory admitted that this announcement was the hardest in the company's history. He noted that an ambitious project that began almost two decades ago evolved into 18 years of game development, creative experiments, and collaborative work on numerous ideas, prototypes, and game worlds. Among the studio's most famous projects are Hover, Edge of Eternity, and Edge of Memories.

The founder expressed special gratitude to all employees who worked at Midgar Studio over the years. He also appealed to representatives of other gaming companies, publishers, and recruiters to pay attention to the specialists who have lost their jobs.

The official number of employees affected by the studio's closure has not yet been disclosed. According to preliminary data, approximately 30 to 50 people will lose their jobs.
