The game's world atmosphere is compared to the animated film "Princess Mononoke," and the project director admits that he was inspired by the themes of the cult classic "Blade Runner" when creating the story.

New details have emerged about Beast of Reincarnation — the upcoming action game from Game Freak studio, which, as journalists note, is completely unlike the projects from the developers of the Pokémon series.

According to preliminary data, completing the main story campaign will take about 30–40 hours. The developers are focusing on a dynamic combat system with fast and responsive battles, while the game should be noticeably more beginner-friendly than classic Souls-likes. The window for a successful parry here is wider than in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the overall difficulty is lower.

In terms of style and gameplay, Beast of Reincarnation is compared to several well-known projects, including Stellar Blade, Ghost of Yōtei, Final Fantasy XVI, and NieR: Automata. Additionally, some mechanics resemble the ATB system from Final Fantasy VII Remake. For example, a companion named Koo allows players to slow down time to use special team abilities.

The game is built on the principle of open zones, and world exploration will play an important role. The main character, Emma, uses her unusual hair, which transforms into tree roots, to overcome obstacles and move through locations. On their journey, players will also have to fight giant bosses and rest at bonfires, where they can upgrade their character's abilities.
