The game's release is scheduled for the end of this year.

The platformer Gennady, developed by Feed 64 studio with the support of Sobaka Studio, will be released not only on PC (Steam), but also on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The release on all platforms is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Dmitry Kachkov, head of Sobaka Studio, noted that the studio has long loved games about tough heroes in even tougher circumstances, so the opportunity to release Gennady on consoles was an excellent option for the team. He also jokingly added that Gennady could well get along with Morgan from KIBORG – if he didn't turn him into a bloody mess.

Gennady is an unusual two-dimensional action game with roguelike elements, made in a monochrome style with completely hand-drawn graphics. The main character wakes up in a creepy alien meat factory, where instead of a peaceful awakening, he is met by aggressive extraterrestrial creatures. The only way to freedom is to fight through hordes of enemies, using fists, alien weapons, and even his own body as a deadly projectile.

Players can expect procedurally generated levels, high dynamics, a melee combat system, and a rage mode in which Gennady becomes almost invulnerable. The more effectively the hero deals with opponents, the longer this mode lasts.

In addition to battles, character development plays an important role. During the playthrough, you can collect shields, ammunition, and various artifacts, some of which will allow you to soften the harsh rules of permadeath and transfer useful items to the next run. Gradually, the player will be able to improve Gennady's abilities and weapons to prepare for battles with giant bosses guarding the path to freedom.
