Former Marvel Contest of Champions developers decided to work with DC characters.

Drop Fake studio, with the support of Warner Bros., presented DCKO — a free-to-play mobile arcade fighting game set in the DC universe. The development is handled by veterans of Kabam — the studio that created the popular mobile fighting game Marvel Contest of Champions, which accumulated over 215 million downloads on iOS and Android in its first five years after release.

The combat system is built on a "2 vs 2" format. Players assemble teams of heroes and villains and can freely switch between fighters during battle. The second character can be fully swapped to continue combo chains, or called onto the field for a few seconds for a support attack or special move — similar to the cameo mechanic from Mortal Kombat 1.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Constantine, Poison Ivy, Lex Luthor, Robin, and other characters have already been confirmed for the starting roster. In total, the developers announced 19 fighters at launch and promised to add one new character every month.

DCKO will feature a real-time PvP mode, as well as a PvE campaign where players will fight against Ra's al Ghul's League of Assassins, Amazo robots, and Trigon's demons.

DCKO is scheduled for release on iOS and Android in 2027. While the game's pages have not yet appeared on the App Store and Google Play, the developers have already opened pre-registration on the official website of the project.
