New Persona 4 Revival Trailer Recalls Events of the Original Game
Even fans would do well to refresh their memory before the remake's release on February 18, 2027.
Atlus has released a new story trailer for Persona 4 Revival, introducing players to the history of the original Persona 4.
The video will be especially useful for those who have never played Persona 4 or haven't returned to the game in a long time. The narrator is Yosuke Hanamura's new English voice, Paul Castro Jr., who briefly retells key story events without delving deeply into details.
The plot of Persona 4 remains one of the series' main strengths. Players take on the role of a high school student who moves to the quiet rural town of Inaba. However, a peaceful school life quickly turns into an investigation of mysterious murders connected to the enigmatic Midnight Channel – a mystical television channel that only appears at midnight during rain.
The new video also showcases the remake's gameplay. Despite retaining the recognizable core of the original, Persona 4 Revival features modern graphics and a number of new elements. However, the developers have not yet shown the new Send Flying mechanic in detail, limiting themselves to only short clips.
A more detailed demonstration of this feature will likely take place at Gamescom 2026, where Persona 4 Revival is expected to receive a separate presentation.
