dbrand released 51 skins for Steam Machine after Valve banned them from selling the Portal cube skin

Players will have the opportunity to transform their Steam Machines.

In June, a drama unfolded in the merchandise market. Accessory manufacturer dbrand faced Valve's lawyers – the company tried to launch a Portal companion cube skin for Steam Machine without permission. Permission was never obtained, so the project was shelved.

However, dbrand did not give up and came up with a new proposal – they presented a collection of 51 skins. In the announcement, the authors clearly refer to this copyright situation: "For the first time, we have released a series of skins for Steam Machine that are legal."

This collection of Steam Machine skins includes a variety of designs – in the spirit of a basketball, an old computer, a box. There are also various patterns and single-color versions.

Earlier this month, it became known that Valve managed to sell all released Steam Machines. However, the circulation was not as the company wanted.

Meanwhile, analysts are studying the sales chart on Steam and trying to estimate approximate Steam Machine sales, as well as Valve's revenue, based on indirect evidence.
