Players will have to stop a cat capable of causing a second Big Bang.

Japanese studio Odencat, known for pixel games Meg’s Monster, Bear’s Restaurant, and Fishing Paradiso, has released its new free adventure Wish Upon a Cat on iOS and Android. The project originally debuted on Steam in August 2025, where it garnered 96% positive reviews.

According to the plot, the main character quarrels with his best friend right before her birthday. Before he can realize his mistake, a bright flash on the computer screen pulls him into an alternative dimension. It turns out that the studio's mascot — a mischievous cat — has started jumping between worlds and mixed up the realities of different Odencat games. Now the player has to chase the audacious furry fugitive through crumbling dimensions, meeting familiar characters and collecting clues. Only then will he be able to put everything back in its place and get home.

Russian language is not announced in Wish Upon a Cat, but users note that the plot is simple enough to understand even without localization. The playthrough takes about two hours, and among the main advantages of the game, players most often mention a heartfelt story about loneliness with a simple but touching message, expressive pixel graphics, and pleasant musical accompaniment. Rare drawbacks include non-obvious moments when searching for necessary locations and the lack of save synchronization with a Google account in the mobile version.
