Registration is now open.

SEGA has announced a closed network test for Crazy Taxi: World Tour, which will take place on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Applications for participation are now open via the official game website, and registration will run until September 1, 09:59 Moscow time.

The test itself will start on September 12 at 03:00 Moscow time and will conclude on September 14 at 03:00. Only selected participants from a number of regions worldwide will gain access.

Unlike the full version of the game, which will feature a story campaign and single-player mode, the closed test will focus entirely on multiplayer competitions. Players will be offered two modes:

  • Pickup Race — up to six participants compete to transport more passengers within a limited time and earn the maximum amount of in-game money
  • Cops 'N' Cabbies — a 3-on-3 team mode where two teams of taxi drivers compete against each other

During the test, players will be able to explore two maps, choose one of four characters, and one of six cars that support various tuning options. Matches will be available in both ranked format and through custom lobbies with customizable rules.

The main goal of the test is to check the stability of the network infrastructure and cross-play functionality before the full release. SEGA has confirmed support for co-op play between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam.

The game's release is scheduled for 2027.
