Take-Two is already envisioning how it will bask in money due to Grand Theft Auto VI's record-breaking performance
The company expects $8 billion to $8.2 billion in net bookings.
Take-Two Interactive has published a new letter to shareholders, detailing its financial results for the past year and reaffirming Grand Theft Auto VI's key role in the company's development strategy. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the game's release, scheduled for November 19, is expected to be the main event of fiscal year 2027.
According to Zelnick, Take-Two achieved "outstanding" results in fiscal year 2026. Net bookings amounted to $6.72 billion, exceeding the company's initial forecast by approximately $750 million. The CEO noted that all divisions of the publisher performed above internal expectations.
Take-Two expects fiscal year 2027 to be a turning point for the company. Projected net bookings are between $8 billion and $8.2 billion, representing a growth of approximately 19–22% compared to the previous fiscal year.
The company is banking on Grand Theft Auto VI. Since Take-Two's fiscal year 2027 covers the period from April 2026 to March 2027, the game's November 19 release will allow approximately four and a half months of sales to be included in the reporting for this period.
Zelnick also emphasized that the company is in a strong financial position. Operating cash flow in the current fiscal year is expected to exceed $1 billion, which will allow for continued investment in the development of key franchises, new technologies, and consideration of promising mergers and acquisitions.
We are very optimistic about the future. Fiscal year 2027 could be a pivotal moment in our company's history, thanks to groundbreaking entertainment projects, led by the planned release of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19, as well as strong operational performance and record net bookings.
