Project Cloud Games studio shared new details about the development of the action RPG The Relic: First Guardian, discussing technical priorities for different platforms. Although the game will be released very soon on PC and PlayStation 5, owners of Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait — versions for these consoles will appear later.

According to the developers, the team consciously focused on the key aspects of the project rather than the maximum number of features. Since The Relic: First Guardian is the studio's debut game, the main priorities were atmosphere, combat system, and stable performance.

The authors emphasized that when porting the game to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, they do not plan to simply reduce graphic quality. Instead, they intend to preserve the world's atmosphere and the feeling of battles while ensuring stable performance on consoles.

At the same time, the developers are not yet ready to reveal the final technical specifications for the PlayStation 5 version. According to them, the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions are in the final stages of optimization, where the main tasks remain stable frame rates and responsive controls during battles.

Information about the availability of "Quality" and "Performance" modes, as well as the target resolution and frame rate, will be announced closer to release after the final game build is completed.

With only a few days left until the release of The Relic: First Guardian, the lack of official performance data for PlayStation 5 may cause some players to postpone pre-ordering until technical details are published. Nevertheless, the developers are confident that they are betting on a high-quality gaming experience that players will remember long after completion.
