Shigeru Miyamoto is not thinking about retirement and hopes to continue creating games for at least another 10 years

Legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, who gave the world such iconic series as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and Metroid, stated that he does not plan to end his career in the coming years. Despite his family's questions about possible retirement, he hopes to continue developing games even ten years from now.
In an interview with the Japanese publication Famitsu, Miyamoto said that he currently has no specific plans or ambitious new projects outside of his current work. At the same time, in his usual playful manner, he noted that he would like to one day launch a movement that "everyone and even their dogs" could join.
The game designer also humorously admitted that relatives periodically hint to him that it might be time to think about ending his career. However, Miyamoto himself sees it differently.
When asked if he would like to be doing the same thing in ten years, the creator of Mario answered affirmatively.
Yes, exactly. The phrase that best describes my feelings is: "I hope we can continue." On set, we sometimes joke: "Don't be surprised if tomorrow I suddenly collapse, so be prepared" (laughs). But I hope we can continue to work without any problems.
