Pre-orders for Chaos miniatures sets for Warhammer: The Old World open on August 8

This week, people will be able to pre-order various Chaos sets for the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop game, miniatures for the Blood Bowl tabletop game, and a limited edition of Justin D. Hill's book "Bjorn: Lone Wolf."

Games Workshop has announced what items will be available for pre-order starting August 8, 2026. Fans of the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop game will have the chance to acquire a Chaos Lord mounted on a monstrous two-headed dragon.

This set includes a Chaos Sorcerer – the player can decide which rider will be in the saddle, and use the second miniature as a standalone foot hero (plus, the dragon can be assembled without a rider). The "Champions of Chaos" set will also be available. It contains two Chaos Champions: one on a demonic steed, the other on foot. The set includes a huge banner, which can be held by either of the two miniatures.

The "Warriors of Chaos" set will be available, containing 16 Chaos Warriors clad in heavy plate armor. They come with interchangeable heads, shields, and weapons. The set includes options for assembling one or two command groups.

The "Chaos Knights" set will become available. Inside: eight plastic Chaos Knights with interchangeable lances, heads, and shields, as well as two sets of parts for a champion, standard bearer, and musician. They are compatible with weapons from the "Warriors of Chaos" sets.

Two sets for "Battle March" will be available for purchase. The Warriors of Chaos Battle March box contains a Chaos Sorcerer, five Chaos Marauder Horsemen, 20 Chaos Marauders, eight Chaos Warriors, and four Chaos Knights. The Grand Cathay Battle March set includes: a Shugengan Lord on a Great Longma Spirit, 20 Jade Warriors, five Jade Lancers, six Iron Hail Gunners, and four Crane Gun teams.

The 48-page arcane journal "March of Chaos" and the "Arcane Magic Tricks" card set, consisting of 56 cards with a wide range of mystical effects promising great power to any wizard brave enough to draw them, will be available for purchase.

Fans of the Blood Bowl tabletop game will receive miniatures of Mork'n'Torg (a plastic one that assembles into one of three team forms – Imperial, Badlands, or Chaos), a plastic Minotaur and Rat Ogre, as well as the Sevens Pitch: Double-sided Pitch and Dugouts set. It includes one double-sided folding pitch and two corresponding double-sided dugouts of reduced size for the "Sevens" mode.

In addition, a limited edition of Justin D. Hill's book "Bjorn: Lone Wolf" will be available for pre-order. Embossed details cover the soft-touch cover, highlighted by blue-silver foil on the spine, colored edges, and a black ribbon bookmark. The aforementioned items will arrive in stores on August 22, 2026.
