Not just Star Wars: KOTOR? Rumors suggest cancellation of Jedi Knight and Galactic Battlegrounds remasters

An insider claims that Lucasfilm has ceased cooperation with Aspyr, which may have led to the cancellation of several Star Wars projects.

New rumors have emerged online about Star Wars projects. According to The Star Wars Garrison channel, Lucasfilm has completely ceased cooperation with Aspyr studio after problems with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake.

It is alleged that after the remake's development was transferred to Saber Interactive, relations between the companies deteriorated. The situation may have been further exacerbated by the failure of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, whose release was accompanied by numerous technical issues.

According to the source, Aspyr was working on a remake or remaster of Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and an updated version of the Jedi Knight series starring Kyle Katarn. None of these projects were officially announced, so it is unknown at what stage development was.

It is also reported that the termination of cooperation could have cost Lucasfilm approximately $40 million. It is not yet clear whether this refers to expenses for canceled projects or costs for contract termination.

The information remains an unconfirmed rumor. Neither Lucasfilm nor Disney have commented on it.
