Marvel preparing a superhero comeback? Kevin Feige interested in Zack Snyder - insider
The former architect of the DC cinematic universe may take on Marvel projects.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is interested in collaborating with Zack Snyder. This was reported by insider MyTimeToShineHello, who only wrote that "I heard Kevin Feige is interested in Zack Snyder."
MTTSH did not specify whether it was about a specific project, whether negotiations had already taken place, or whether Kevin Feige was only considering bringing Snyder to work on the Marvel cinematic universe.
This rumor appeared against the backdrop of Snyder's recent statements. In July, the director attended an event dedicated to Frank Miller, where fans asked him about a possible adaptation of "The Dark Knight Returns." Snyder replied with the phrase "when we are allowed," hinting at a desire to return to superhero stories.
Currently, the likelihood of Snyder's return to DC seems low: James Gunn and Peter Safran have already planned the new cinematic universe for years to come. In addition, a separate, more grounded universe continues to develop, which includes Matt Reeves' "The Batman" and "The Penguin."
At the same time, Snyder and Feige have not worked together before. In a 2021 interview, the director noted that he had never even met the head of Marvel Studios, but highly praised his work on the MCU:
"I've never met him. He's done an incredible, insanely beautiful job. They've tried almost every possible genre and started experimenting with their characters. Now they feel confident enough to explore new directions, and that's pretty cool."
