The star of "Borat" may return to the role of one of the demons in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sacha Baron Cohen will return to the role of Mephisto in the "Ghost Rider" film starring Ryan Gosling. This was reported by insider Jeff Sneider. According to his information, the demon will appear in the film, but will not be its main antagonist.

Sacha Baron Cohen debuted as Mephisto in the sixth episode of the "Ironheart" series. Since then, the character's appearance has been anticipated in various Marvel projects, and his possible involvement in "Ghost Rider" is particularly interesting due to the demon's connection to Johnny Blaze's origin in the comics. The stuntman made a deal with Mephisto, trying to save his adoptive father's life. The demon tricked Blaze and bound his soul to Zarathos, turning the hero into the fiery Spirit of Vengeance.

Earlier, Sneider claimed that Gosling would play Johnny Blaze, and the character himself would first appear in "Avengers: Secret Wars" – a year before the solo film's premiere in 2028.
