Warhorse is not going to chase trends with the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3
The game promises to be authentic.
Warhorse Studios continues to work on the next game in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance universe and is not going to change its signature approach to the series, despite its commercial success. This was stated by Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the studio's PR Director, in an interview with Shanghai Daily.
According to him, the developers are still aiming to release the new game in the 2027–2028 fiscal year, i.e., between April 2027 and March 2028. At the same time, the studio emphasizes that the project is not yet called Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3, although it will be a full-fledged part of the series.
Despite the fact that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, released last year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, became significantly more commercially successful than the original and was more friendly to new players, the studio does not intend to deviate from its principles.
According to Stolz-Zwilling, Warhorse remains committed to the concept of a realistic historical role-playing game and is not going to simplify or change key elements of the series to follow market trends. The developers aim to preserve the unique medieval atmosphere and deep immersion effect that have become the franchise's hallmark.
