New details have emerged online regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds. Following the release of a recent update, users discovered data in the game's files that may reveal the technical specifications of the upcoming port.
The information was shared by members of the Monster Hunter Leaks community on Reddit. According to the discovered data, when the console is connected to a TV, the game will use dynamic resolution ranging from 1080p to 1440p. It is expected that NVIDIA DLSS technology will help the system scale the image from a lower internal resolution, allowing for higher clarity without excessive strain on the hardware.
In portable mode, Monster Hunter Wilds, according to the leak, will not run at the native screen resolution of the Nintendo Switch 2. Instead, a dynamic resolution ranging from 720p–864p is planned. Furthermore, the update files contain indications of a target performance of up to 40 frames per second. Thanks to VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support on the console's display, gameplay in portable mode may become smoother. However, VRR is known not to be supported when the Switch 2 operates in docked mode.
