The turn-based RPG is preparing to celebrate its third anniversary with update 3.7.

Chinese studio Bluepoch announced that the audience of the turn-based RPG Reverse: 1999 has exceeded 19.99 million players worldwide — a number that refers to the project's title, dedicated to time travel.

The statistics include users from all available versions of the project. Reverse: 1999 debuted on mobile devices in China in May 2023, and in October of the same year, it was released on the international market. In late 2024, the developers released a PC version and added the ability to transfer progress between platforms via a shared account.

Another surge in attention to the game occurred in July, when Bluepoch held a major event as part of a collaboration with Atomic Heart. During the crossover, the heroes of Reverse: 1999 traveled to the Soviet Enterprise No. 3826 and met characters from Mundfish's game.

The next major event for the project will be update 3.7, which will be released on August 13 and will be timed to coincide with Reverse: 1999's third anniversary. The update will continue the main story, add new heroines Coppelia and Rhiannon, temporary banners, and festive rewards.
