Wagner Moura commented on rumors that Marvel Studios is considering him for the role of Mister Sinister in the new "X-Men" adaptation. In an interview with ScreenRant, the actor said that he regularly receives posts from fans about his possible joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the studio itself has not contacted him:
"I read about it myself online, and people send it to me. I've been a fan of this whole universe since childhood, when I read all these graphic novels and everything else. But there's nothing like that. No one has contacted me about it. It's just something people read. I don't know anything about it, to be honest. But I would love to do it."
Meanwhile, in the latest wave of rumors, Adam Driver is named as the main contender for the role of Mister Sinister. Information about his candidacy appeared shortly before the media began to confirm the participation of Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Kit Connor as Cyclops. Moura's name, on the contrary, appeared only in earlier casting reports.
Marvel Studios is expected to officially unveil the cast of the new "X-Men" at the Disney D23 presentation, which will take place on August 15.
