Lies of P Developers Change Studio Name and Promise to Make "The Best Action Game in the World"
Grand plans for the sequel.
The developers of Lies of P have released a 16-minute mini-documentary about their studio, the game's creation process, and their work on the as-yet-unnamed sequel. Simultaneously, it was announced that the Round8 Studio team is now operating under a new name – Nough.
According to the documentary's description, Nough continues to adhere to Round8 Studio's philosophy and operates under the motto "Games by Gamers." However, it is not yet entirely clear whether Nough is a full rebranding of Round8 or a new structure that emerged from the former studio, which is part of the publisher Neowiz. In any case, the team that created Lies of P is now using the name Nough – a play on words from the expression "Not Enough."
The developers paid special attention to the future sequel of Lies of P. Although the game is already in full production, Nough has not yet revealed its name or details. Nevertheless, the creators explicitly state their desire to make the sequel grander and of higher quality than the original.
From the very beginning, my goal was to create the greatest action game in the world. And we are gradually approaching that goal.
Game director Choi Ji-won noted that the team wants to maintain the same passion with which the first Lies of P was created and make a game that the developers themselves would want to play.
Players always feel it. As a gamer, I myself know when a game is made with true dedication [...] We are giving everything we have to make the game as good as possible. So please wait a little longer. We will not disappoint you. I promise.
