Some missions and stores were cut from the base edition.

It seems the high price isn't deterring players from Grand Theft Auto VI. According to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, pre-orders for the game are going "much better than expected", with the more expensive edition being particularly popular among those who have placed an order.

In an interview with CNBC, Zelnick discussed the initial results of GTA VI pre-orders. The game, which will be the first new installment in the main Grand Theft Auto series in 13 years, is already generating increasing optimism for the company ahead of its release.

When asked about the distribution of pre-orders between the standard edition at $79.99 and the premium edition at $99.99, the head of Take-Two noted that demand is "skewed towards the premium edition".

However, Zelnick did not claim that this ratio would be maintained after the full launch of sales. In his opinion, the current situation may be explained by the fact that the most dedicated fans of the series are currently pre-ordering the game first.

The GTA 6 premium edition for $99.99 includes additional bonuses, including five exclusive stores, the '95 Grotti Cheetah and '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy cars, personalized weapon options, and other additional content.
