Screenwriters of "Spider-Man: New Day" Help Marvel with "Doctor Doom" and "Secret Wars"
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers have joined the work on concluding the Multiverse Saga.
Screenwriters of "Spider-Man: New Day" Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers have confirmed that they are assisting Marvel Studios with the films "Avengers: Doctor Doom" and "Avengers: Secret Wars".
Previously, the director of the new "Spider-Man," Destin Daniel Cretton, let slip about their involvement. According to him, during production, McKenna and Sommers were simultaneously working on the next "Avengers" films. Now, the screenwriters themselves have confirmed this information:
"We can say that we are involved in the work on 'Avengers.' We cannot reveal more yet. We enjoy collaborating with Marvel, we have established a relationship with the Russo brothers, and this work brings real pleasure."
The exact contribution the duo is making to the scripts of the two films is unknown. Previously, the new "Avengers" films were worked on by "Loki" writer Michael Waldron and co-writer of "Infinity War" and "Endgame" Stephen McFeely.
"Avengers: Doctor Doom" will be released on December 18, 2026, and a year later, Marvel Studios will release "Secret Wars," which will conclude the Multiverse Saga.
