The director of "Eight Crazy Nights" has joined the team for the second season.

Director Seth Kearsley, known for the animated feature film "Eight Crazy Nights," announced that he is working on the second season of "Marvel Zombies." He did not specify his role in the project.

"I can officially say what I'm working on now – and nothing else. 'Marvel Zombies'! I'm incredibly excited. For me, it's like returning to my roots after 'Max' and 'The Mummy Returns.' No limits – martial arts and a sea of blood."

The production of the sequel ceased to be a secret last spring. Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation, said he had already seen the first animatic of the debut episode:

"I don't think this is a spoiler, but this morning I saw the first animatic of the first episode of 'Marvel Zombies' Season Two. It was insane. I can't reveal anything, but the season will offer not only zombies but also something that has never happened before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Plot details have not yet been revealed. The first season consisted of four episodes and was released on Disney+ in September 2025. The series continued the story of an alternate reality from the anthology "What If...?", where a virus turned many Avengers and other superheroes into living dead.

The premiere date for the second season has not yet been announced.
