First reviews of Mortal Shell II are out - premium early access has begun

Recently, the first reviews for Mortal Shell II – a new soulslike from Cold Symmetry studio – began to appear online. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Mortal Shell II received 83 out of 100 points on Metacritic (after 30 reviews), and on OpenCritic, after 35 reviews, the score is slightly higher – an average of 85 out of 100, with 91% of authors recommending players to check out the project.

In reviews of Mortal Shell II, authors note that the game takes all the best from the original and refines it, "turning it into a more robust soulslike game." The developers decided to focus on free exploration of a small open world in the new installment. In the game world, the bodies of warriors rest, into which one can inhabit to awaken innate abilities and acquired skills.

The full release of Mortal Shell II is scheduled for August 20, but those who pre-ordered the premium Devout Edition can start playing three days earlier.
