Thanks to the Evrikus publishing house, anyone can now purchase the board game "Mystery of the Abbey". In different places, it is offered for 3490–3924 rubles.
In this deductive project for 3–6 players, participants will have to immerse themselves in the life of a medieval monastery and try to find the culprit in the death of Brother Adelmo.
Users will move around the abbey's premises, receive suspect cards, study scrolls in the scriptorium and forbidden books in the library, ask opponents questions, and eliminate suspects. Unlike many abstract deductive games, here the investigation feels like a small story with characters, events, and a tense atmosphere.
Each mass changes the state of affairs, forcing players to pass cards and confronting them with unexpected events. In "Mystery of the Abbey", it is not enough to be the first to name the criminal. You can earn points by declaring their characteristics in advance, so there is a chance to win without uttering the killer's name. However, every hasty statement and false accusation can bring the characters not to the truth, but to repentance.
This edition of the board game includes the expansions "Shadows of the Abbey" and "Life of the Pilgrim", whose cards, thanks to their new effects, will bring variety to the gameplay.
