Co-op survival game NightRunner, inspired by Escape from Tarkov and Call of Duty's zombie mode, announced
The public playtest for the project is scheduled for September.
314 Arts, known for Projekt Z: Beyond Order, has unveiled its new project — NightRunner. The game will be released on PC via Steam in 2027, with a public playtest planned for September this year.
NightRunner combines elements of a survival game, extraction shooter, and strategy. The developers cite Killing Floor, Call of Duty: Zombies' Tranzit mode, and Escape from Tarkov as inspirations. Players will undertake dangerous expeditions, acquire gear and resources, complete missions, and attempt to deliver their loot to an extraction point.
A key feature of the game will be an armored train. At the start of each run, all participants' carriages are connected into a single train that must travel through a dangerous world. Players can choose a carriage, customize their equipment, fortify the train, and stop at special zones to search for resources and weapons.
The train is constantly moving, and the loss of an individual carriage does not mean an immediate end to the run. The team will have to retreat to the next carriage and continue their defense until the train reaches the extraction point. If the mission fails, players will lose both the gear they brought with them and what they found during the expedition.
