Third Season of "Peacemaker" with John Cena Still Not in DC Studios' Plans - Media

The status of the series' continuation with John Cena has not changed in a year.

According to The Ankler, a third season of "Peacemaker" is still not in DC Studios' plans. However, the series has not been definitively canceled, so the possibility of a continuation in the future remains.

James Gunn said the same thing after the completion of the second season in October 2025. At that time, the head of DC Studios explained that Chris Smith and other "Peacemaker" characters would still appear in the shared universe, although a separate third season was not being developed.

He also previously stated that the planet Salvation, where Chris found himself at the end of the second season, would appear in the sequel to "Superman" – "Superman: Legacy". Therefore, fans awaiting a resolution to the cliffhanger may see a continuation of this story there.

"Superman: Legacy" is scheduled to premiere on July 9, 2027.
