The developers organized the demonstration to avoid major spoilers.

For the upcoming Gamescom exhibition, the CD Projekt RED team will bring a demo of the expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt called Songs of the Past (or "Ballads of the Past" in Russian localization).

A CD Projekt RED representative recently shared impressions from a private showing of the expansion's demo. Fabian said that players will be able to safely watch the broadcast — the developers prepared the demonstration in such a way that there would be no major spoilers:

Today I visited CD Projekt RED headquarters in Warsaw to participate in a private showing of The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past Gamescom demo. It's great to see Geralt back again — the team made every effort to find the ideal balance in the demo between showcasing new content and avoiding major spoilers.

Paweł Sasko, who worked on quests for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and is now the game director for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, joined the discussion. He shared his impressions: "It's so good to see Geralt again."

CD Projekt RED plans to stream live from Gamescom in Cologne from August 26 (Wednesday) until the end of the week — they will show the game and interact with guests.
