Hayden Christensen Proposed Reuniting "Star Wars" Prequel Actors in One Project
The actor is particularly interested in new stories about Anakin during the Clone Wars.
Hayden Christensen would like to reunite the actors from the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy. On the Hey Jonas podcast, the actor who played Anakin Skywalker reminded listeners that Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Samuel L. Jackson have also expressed a desire to return to their characters:
"I know Ewan McGregor would like to do something else. I've heard Natalie wouldn't mind coming back either. Samuel Jackson. So we could get the whole team back together."
The idea came up during a discussion about a possible series about Anakin. Christensen himself is particularly interested in exploring the hero during the Clone Wars – this period allows for showing Skywalker as an experienced Jedi and general, but before his final fall. The actor has already returned to this version of the character in the first season of "Ahsoka" and will play him again in the second.
Other prequel stars also don't hide their desire to return to a galaxy far, far away. McGregor continues to propose ideas for new Obi-Wan stories and recently discussed a possible adventure with Yoda with Dave Filoni. Portman previously said she was ready to play Padmé again, and Jackson has insisted for years that Mace Windu survived his fall after the fight with Palpatine. But for now, these are solely the actors' wishes. Lucasfilm has not announced anything of the sort.
