Creators of the anime "Sekiro: No Defeat" showed Wolf's battle against Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa

The adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be released in Japanese cinemas in early September.

KADOKAWAanime's YouTube channel published a fragment of the anime "Sekiro: No Defeat" based on the FromSoftware game. It shows the beginning of Wolf's battle with Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa at the main gate of Ashina Castle.

Before this, the creators presented nine separate videos featuring the adaptation's characters. The Japanese voice actors from the original game returned to their roles: Daisuke Namikawa once again voiced Wolf, Miyuki Sato voiced Kuro, and Kenjiro Tsuda voiced Genichiro Ashina.

"Sekiro: No Defeat" will adapt the plot of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice into an anime format. The project is being worked on by Qzil.la studio, Ken'ichi Kutsuna is the director, Takuya Sato wrote the script, and Takashi Mukoda is responsible for the staging of battle scenes. The main musical theme is Ryuichi Sakamoto's composition "Blu". The authors separately confirmed that they are not using generative AI in the production.

The premiere of "Sekiro: No Defeat" in Japan will take place on September 4, 2026. Later, the anime will appear on Crunchyroll, but the digital release date has not yet been announced.
