Old-school shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II gets new trailer with release date

The game will be released on PC and consoles in October.

The old-school shooter Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II will be available on October 14 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.

Along with the announcement of the date, the developers presented a new trailer, which for the first time featured a fragment of the game's original musical track. It was written by composer Mick Gordon, known for his work on DOOM (2016), DOOM Eternal, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The events of Boltgun II will continue the story of the first part. Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Battle Sister Naira Veirat travel to an isolated star system, from which reports of increased Chaos activity are coming. However, the heroes soon encounter Vashtorr — a powerful demonic creature.

Vashtorr awakens a gigantic demonic machine in the center of the planet, leading to a catastrophic explosion and the destruction of a significant part of the Imperial fleet. Now Malum and Naira must move from one world to another, destroying the sources of corruption that power Vashtorr's mechanisms, to get a chance to send the demon back to the Warp.
