Yoniq shared exclusive photos of the portable dual-screen console called Yoniq Duo with the Retro Dodo portal, taken during Gamescom 2026.
The new product, apparently, will run on their future PantasOS operating system. According to the developers, this is a custom “open gaming ecosystem designed to unite devices, games, and experiences on one seamless platform.”
If you look closely at the sign next to the console, you can see that it reveals an important detail for the first time: it will be an Android-based retro system. Thus, it will become a competitor to the Anbernic RG DS and will receive “4x upscaling.”
In addition, one of the photos showed a portable console that was not mentioned anywhere — neither on the Yoniq website nor on social networks. It is called Yoniq Lite. This device has a vertical form factor, and its appearance hints that Yoniq plans to take a much more serious place in the niche of retro devices.
Yoniq employees told Retro Dodo that Yoniq Lite is currently only in the prototype stage and the team still needs to refine some characteristics and details. For this reason, the developers, unfortunately, cannot yet share the exact specifications of the device.
Yoniq claims to have access to some of the most experienced manufacturing resources and supply chains in China. Previously, its team participated in the development and production of a huge number of portable gaming systems presented on the market. But now, for the first time, it is bringing products directly to consumers under its own brand.
Although Yoniq portable devices are deeply developed internally and designed to offer a competitive experience, the marketing team is still forming and is not yet as strong as the product and engineering departments.
