The Anbernic RG DS portable console now officially supports not only Android 14 but also Linux, so gamers will no longer need to install third-party software for this OS or deal with image lag on two screens.

Anbernic has published a new video dedicated to the RG DS and announced the release of official firmware with Linux system support for this portable console, fully compatible with the original Android system.

This OS features an interface designed specifically for two screens, as well as deep low-level software optimization aimed at providing the cleanest and most immersive retro gaming experience.

The Anbernic RG DS has two four-inch IPS displays (multi-touch, capacitive stylus support, 640×480 resolution), an RK3568 chip (quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A55 with up to 2.0 GHz), an ARM G52 2EE GPU, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage.

The device also features Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, high-quality stereo speakers, support for TF card expansion (up to 2 TB), a 4000 mAh polymer lithium battery (six hours of battery life), and a six-axis gyroscope sensor.

Currently, the standard version of the portable console can be purchased for $94.99 (6933 rubles), with a 128 GB SD card for $124.99 (9123 rubles), and with 256 GB for $144.99 (10583 rubles).
