Crimson Desert Developers Fixed FPS Drops and Game Launch After Major Update - Patch 2.00.01 Released

News

This update is much smaller in scope but addresses some significant issues.

In August, Pearl Abyss studio introduced a large update for Crimson Desert with various improvements and a refined storyline. In honor of this, the game was renamed "Crimson Desert Enhanced."

The developers reviewed feedback and soon returned with a small patch 2.00.01. This is a purely technical update that does not add new content – it is designed to fix a number of technical issues.

The authors of Crimson Desert said that they fixed an error encountered by users on some Mac OS versions, and now the game should launch correctly. In addition, they fixed "some" in-game cutscenes and an issue with FPS drops.

List of changes in patch 2.00.01 for Crimson Desert Enhanced:

  • Fixed an issue where some text was displayed incorrectly when selecting the Arabic language in the game.
  • Partially fixed the issue with desynchronization of character lip movements and voice acting in some cutscenes.
  • Fixed an issue where the frame rate dropped in certain situations.
  • [Steam Mac] Fixed an issue where the game would not launch on some versions of Mac OS.

Recently, the developers warned that they would slow down the pace of releasing Crimson Desert Enhanced updates. An expansion is currently being prepared for the game, but the Pearl Abyss team has not yet revealed the details.
