Cosplayer as Geralt from "The Witcher 3" Arrives at Gamescom 2026 in a Steaming Bathtub

Some visitors to Gamescom 2026 were able to see Geralt from "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" riding in a wooden tub in front of the Koelnmesse exhibition center. Cosplayer Maul once again embodied this famous monster hunter.

Cosplayer Maul celebrated the announcement of the remaster of the action RPG "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and the "Ballads of the Past" expansion in a rather unusual and amusing way.

He appeared as Geralt of Rivia and recreated the famous bathtub scene. However, this time the bathtub was mobile: the cosplayer rode in it right in front of the Koelnmesse exhibition center, where Gamescom 2026 is currently taking place.

It's worth remembering that the scene with Geralt in the bathtub became one of the most recognizable and viral moments in popular culture. It refers to the moment when the main character relaxes in a wooden tub with hot water.

The brutal monster hunter was then shown in the most relaxed and domestic setting. His specific pose (hands resting on the edges of the tub, legs raised high) seemed very comical to gamers.

The developers themselves supported the meme by releasing an official April Fool's figurine of Geralt in the bathtub. Later, it was even launched into real mass production. In addition, this shot was meticulously recreated in "The Witcher" series by Netflix with Henry Cavill in the lead role, and also added as an easter egg in the game Cyberpunk 2077.
