Rubles in Escape from Tarkov will not decide the outcome of competition in Leagues - developers will nerf "Icebreaker" farming and change entry rules for the location
"Icebreaker" will not be the main location for experience farming.
A major update 1.1.5.0 is planned for Escape from Tarkov in September. The developers plan to add a competitive League system to the game.
The idea is that players will compete within the League based on the amount of experience earned. Depending on the result achieved during the week, players' ranks can be increased, decreased, or remain at the same level.
Experience for various actions will be taken into account, including eliminating PMCs, Scavs, and Bosses. Experienced Escape from Tarkov fans immediately noted that players can quickly farm the "Icebreaker" location.
Battlestate Games anticipated this. The developers published a new diary and talked about changes in the mechanics of visiting "Icebreaker". Now, entry to it will no longer be paid for with rubles.
Instead, a new item, the "marine vessel repair kit", will be used. To obtain it for the first time, players will need to complete a new task from the Flea Market. After that, players will have access to a new type of operational tasks, for each completion of which they will be able to receive several such kits.
In addition, the developers of Escape from Tarkov will reduce the amount of experience gained for eliminating Wedge, his retinue, and Black Division fighters on "Icebreaker".
These changes will be part of update 1.1.5.0 and will affect all Escape from Tarkov modes: PvP, PvE Zone, and PvP Season.
