Legendary Goalkeeper Lev Yashin Cut from EA Sports FC 27 - Dataminer

It seems the rights to use his image have expired.

The release of the new installment of the EA Sports FC 27 football simulation franchise is approaching. Developers are gradually revealing various project details, and insiders and dataminers are also sharing news.

Recently, players' attention was drawn to a statement by Weaver FUT, who was studying a leaked player database. He noted that legendary Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin was cut from EA Sports FC 27 – the goalkeeper's card is missing from the Icon Database, and a search by name also yielded no results.

It is assumed that the creators of EA Sports FC 27's licensing agreement has expired, so they cannot currently use the goalkeeper's image in the game. It is not yet clear whether Electronic Arts plans to bring Lev Yashin back in the future.
