The Witcher 3 to receive visual update on Switch 2 - new story expansion confirmed

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29 with improved graphics, touchscreen support, and the "Ballads of the Past" expansion.

During Nintendo Direct, gameplay of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the new Nintendo portable console was shown. The game will receive an update based on the next-gen version with high resolution, improved texture filtering, lighting, and a stable frame rate in both docked and portable modes.

The edition includes the entire story of Geralt of Rivia, the “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine” expansions, as well as a full set of materials based on the Netflix series. Touch control support has also been confirmed.

Also, “Ballads of the Past,” the third story expansion with Geralt, will be released on Switch 2. The new version will be a full-fledged portable edition of The Witcher 3, significantly surpassing the technically compromised port for the first Switch.
