Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Gets New Trailer with Story Details and Familiar Monster

The expansion will be released on October 9.

Capcom has shared a new trailer for the Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2.

The new video focuses on the expansion's story. Specifically, it tells of Norghan's fall and Eyr's determination to destroy the Fallen Dragon. Capcom previously showed that this creature is capable of regenerating even after fatal damage. Now it has become known that the Risen discovers the location of its heart — but it turns out to be in the hands of a potentially even more dangerous adversary. Apparently, this is the result the enemy was aiming for.

In addition, the familiar monster Evil Eye from the first game will return in Dark Arisen. In the original game, it was created from the magic left over from the Dragon and was found exclusively in Everfall and the Rotunda of Dread. The creature's appearance in the new story may be related to the events of the expansion, but Capcom has not yet revealed its role in the plot.
