Battlefield 6 Emergency Proximity Chat Shutdown - Developers Identify Issues After Update
Some features started glitching, and the developers took action.
Recently, update 1.4.3.0 was released for Battlefield 6. The developers introduced a new feature, Proximity Chat, which allows players to communicate with nearby players during a match.
Soon after, the Battlefield Studios team began receiving reports of various technical issues. For example, players started reporting the sale of weapon modifications, and there were also matchmaking problems for Battle Royale.
In addition, it was decided to temporarily disable Proximity Chat: “we have disabled this chat to investigate an issue related to this feature, and we will let you know as soon as we re-enable it.”
The developers are also investigating reports of issues with player display on the mini-map and a recurring pop-up screen with in-game event information.
Currently, Battlefield 6 is hosting a new event, “Deep Six Collection Event.” Participants can earn various rewards for their collection. A new melee weapon, the Diver’s Knife, has been added to the shooter.
