Alan Ritchson May Replace Jason Momoa in Helldivers Adaptation - Media

The premiere of the film based on the cooperative shooter is just over a year away, but the project still doesn't have a confirmed lead actor.

According to Deadline, Alan Ritchson is in talks for the lead role in the Helldivers adaptation. If a deal is struck, the star of the "Reacher" series will play one of the Helldivers, defending Super Earth from alien threats and spreading "democracy."

Previously, Jason Momoa was set to play the lead role, but the actor left the project in June 2026. The reasons for his departure are still unknown.

The film is being produced by PlayStation Productions and Justin Lin's Perfect Storm Entertainment. Hatch Parker and Asad Qizilbash are serving as producers. The premiere of the Helldivers film in theaters is scheduled for November 10, 2027.
