Massive Far Cry series replenishment: five new cast members announced
Stars from "The Banshees of Inisherin," "The Hateful Eight," "Midnight Mass," and more have joined the project.
Disney+ has announced new cast members for the Far Cry series. Brendan Gleeson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, and Jamie Demetriou will appear in the first season of the adaptation.
Gleeson is known for the films "In Bruges" and "The Banshees of Inisherin," Leigh starred in "The Hateful Eight" and the fifth season of "Fargo," and Linklater played the lead role in "Midnight Mass." Spruell recently appeared in "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," and Demetriou starred in "Barbie" and the series "The Afterparty."
The newcomers join previously confirmed Steve Buscemi, Lizzy Caplan, and Rob McElhenney. The latter is also developing the adaptation alongside Noah Hawley, creator of the series "Fargo" and "Alien: Earth."
Far Cry will be structured as an anthology: each season will feature a separate story, new characters, and a new setting, just like Ubisoft's game series of the same name. Details of the first season's plot are not yet available, but filming has already begun.
The premiere date has also not yet been announced.
