Gotham has a new Dark Knight: the trailer for the second part of the animated film "Batman: Knightfall" has been released
The sequel will tell the story of Azrael's transformation into Gotham's new protector.
Warner Bros. unveiled the first trailer for the animated film "Batman: Knightfall Part 2 – Knightquest" as part of "Batman Day".
The sequel adapts the second part of the famous Knightfall comic book arc. After a confrontation with Bane, Bruce Wayne is severely injured and can no longer protect Gotham, so Jean-Paul Valley, known as Azrael, takes his place. The city's new protector chooses a more brutal approach to fighting crime, which threatens Bruce Wayne's legacy. Meanwhile, Bane continues to strengthen his influence over Gotham.
Batman is voiced by Anson Mount, who previously played the role in the animated film "Injustice". Bane is voiced by Michael Mando, and Jean-Paul Valley is played by Pablo Schreiber. Jeff Wamester, director of the animated trilogy "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths", is directing, and Jeremy Adams wrote the screenplay.
The first part of "Batman: Knightfall" was released digitally in August 2026. The second part will be released in late 2026, and the final part in 2027.
