Anime "Tsugai of the Underworld" Renewed for Second Season - First Teaser and Poster Released

Bones Film studio will continue to adapt the manga by "Fullmetal Alchemist" author Hiromu Arakawa.

The anime "Tsugai of the Underworld" has been officially renewed for a second season. Along with the announcement, the creators unveiled the first teaser and poster for the continuation, but the premiere date has not yet been revealed.

The story follows twins Yuru and Asa, separated in childhood. Years later, they try to find each other and gradually uncover the mystery of their origin, connected to tsugai — supernatural beings that exist in pairs and obey their masters. The first season aired from April to September 2026 and concluded with its 24th episode.

The adaptation is being handled by a team led by director Masahiro Ando, who directed "Sword of the Stranger." Noboru Takagi ("Golden Kamuy") is responsible for the series composition, Nobuhiro Arai ("Bungo Stray Dogs") designed the characters, and Kenichiro Suehiro, known for "Fire Force" and "The Eminence in Shadow," composed the music.
