The Sims 4 Characters Got Smarter and Cleaner - Update with Free Content Released

Maxis Studio and Electronic Arts have released a major update for The Sims 4 on PC, consoles, and Mac. It includes not only technical improvements but also new free content.

The developers reported that their main priority was the autonomous behavior of Sims. The implemented changes will make characters behave more intelligently: “for example, maintaining eye contact during conversations and washing hands in the bathroom, instead of suddenly rushing to the kitchen.”

Various bugs that caused The Sims 4 and SimService to crash have also been fixed.

In addition, The Sims 4 developers have prepared several free new items — clothing, building elements, and also added characters to the “Gallery”:

• Players will find six children's items for the Create a Sim editor, including a new hairstyle (ponytail with bangs), as well as child versions of three existing hairstyles.
• Three new items for toddlers — a T-shirt, colored glasses, a denim dress.
• Eight new items for build mode will help decorate a child's room, among the new items: the “Kingdom of Colors” album, a frame, board games, children's watercolors, chairs, an aquarium, and a wall mural.
• Seven new Sims have appeared in the “Gallery”: four children, two toddlers, and an elderly woman.
