Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still alive - Ubisoft confirmed the game has not been canceled

Ubisoft's Deputy Narrative Director stated that the game is still in development 18 years after its announcement.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 has not been canceled: a Ubisoft producer confirmed that the game continues to be developed 18 years after its initial announcement.

The confirmation was made by Rik Godwin, Deputy Narrative Director at Ubisoft Bordeaux. He stated that he has been involved in the project for several months as a consultant and assistant, having received official permission to speak publicly about the game.

Many rumors surround Beyond Good & Evil 2. In August, insider Nash Weedle claimed that the project underwent a serious internal overhaul and might even change its official name. According to him, the team already has a fresher version of the game that can be shown.

The insider also suggested a release on Nintendo Switch 2 due to the flexibility of the game engine used. This information has not yet been confirmed.
